More Mario Kart clones abound in Japan for Super Famicom -- here’s the most blatant of them all and personally my favorite though I like Battle Racers and Rider’s Spirits a lot too. This track remind you of anything lol....

1992年11月20日発売F1 Pole Position - known in Japan as Human Grand Prix (ヒューマングランプリ ’Human Grand Prix’) - is considered to be the first game in the Human Grand Prix series for the Super Famicom. It is one of the first licensed Formula One games not to feature Satoru Nakajima after his retirement in 1991 the release date was November 20 1992. The game was developed and published by Human Entertainment with co-operation with Fuji Television and FOCA. The game was strange in that the opposition cars where able to pass through one another without crashing. There was also a bug in the circuit used in the Canadian Grand Prix where at the hairpin the barriers had a gap enabling one to drive through and onto the grass. Around 2005 I was randomly downloading game soundtracks from zophar’s domain. During that time I came across the soundtrack to a SNES game called SD F-1 Grand Prix. It featured a lot of good music and it became one of my favorites. And now I’ve made a cover of one of the songs from the game using the game’s samples (which I extracted using SNESSOR95) OpenMPT and a VST effect (as a substitute for the SNES’s DSP reverb). I think it’s pretty close to the original. (Note: this isn’t a SPC2IT conversion I did it all by ear and by hand.)

F1 Pole Position 2 known in Japan as Human Grand Prix II (ヒューマングランプリ2 lit. ’Human Grand Prix 2’) is the sequel to Human Grand Prix and the prequel to Human Grand Prix III: F1 Triple Battle. Satoru Nakajima is introduced to the series as a hidden character that can be saved either of the two (2) provided files. This relationship would eventually continue until Human Grand Prix IV: F1 Dream Battle was released. Also it is possible to edit engine contracts as well as players and players’ contracts. The engine in this game looks similar to Human Grand Prix III and Human Grand Prix IV. Licensing was possible by Fuji Television and FOCA. World Grand Prix mode allows the player to re-enact the 1993 season. Battle mode allows for a single race to take place against up to 13 (thirteen) CPU-controlled players. Finally time attack mode allows players to practice on the tracks. There is a guiding arrow for turns that allow players to correct judge how much pressure that he or she can put on the turns. This feature would eventually be used in other Human Grand Prix games. (........................) en.wikipedia.org
